Genevieve D. (Grote) Garbutt

Genevieve D. Garbutt, age 87, of Buffington, PA passed away on Thursday, July 18, 2019.

She was born on December 17, 1931 in Buffington, PA

Daughter of the late Paul and Cecelia (Miller) Grote

Genevieve was a member of the former St. Procopius R.C. Church of New Salem and currently a member of St. Francis of Assisi R.C. Church - Footedale, PA

She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.

She was preceded in death by her husband:  John C. Garbutt, Sr.

2 Sons:  David Garbutt and his wife Christie and their daughter April                                

              Paul Garbutt

Granddaughter:  Heather Garbutt

4 brothers:  Herbert, Charles, Raymond, and Gilbert Grote

Genevieve is survived by 4 children:

Debra Wargo and husband Timothy

John C. Garbutt, Jr. and wife Beverly

Matthew Garbutt and wife Lisa

Mark Garbutt

2 Daughters-in-law:  Angie Garbutt and Linda Uphold

Grandchildren and great-grandchildren:  Kimberly Orslene and husband Kevin; John Garbutt and wife Jamie and their daughter Amelia; Jill Hunt and husband William and their daughters Katlyn and Briana; Paul Garbutt and wife Amanda and their children Kyson and Kenzlee; Adrian Fornili and husband Cale and their children Vanessa and Dominico; Kevin Garbutt and wife Apryle and their children Madeline and Kevin, Jr.; Laura Garbutt and her children Aden, Steven, and Adrianna; Matthew Garbutt; Orion Garbutt 

2 sisters and 2 brothers:  Vincent Grote; Eugene Grote; Rita Herring; and Loretta Grimes

Also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received in The Dearth Funeral Home 35 South Mill Street New Salem, PA on Sunday from 2-4 and 6-8PM and on Monday until 9:30AM where a Prayer Service will be held followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:00AM at St. Francis of Assisi R.C. Church - Footedale, PA with the Rev. Fr. William G. Berkey as celebrant.  Interment will follow in Sylvan Heights Cemetery.
