Mary A. (Vargulich) Allison

Mary A. Allison, age 62, of New Salem, PA passed away on Friday evening, May 17, 2019 at her home.

She was born on March 31, 1957 in Uniontown, PA

Daughter of the late George and Alice (Yuhas) Vargulich

Mary graduated in 1975 from Uniontown High School and then graduated in 1977 from Penn State University with an Associates Degree.

She previously worked at Uniontown Newspapers.  Mary, along with her husband, Ken, began their business which they still own and operate - All Around Fence Company of Uniontown, PA.  She also owns, along with her daughter, Julie - Chestnut Lane Farm of Smithton, PA

Mary is survived by her husband:  Ken Allison

Daughter:  Julie Marie and fiance Eric Goodell - Smithton, PA

Son:  Gregory Thomas and fiance Kaitlin Forister - Pittsburgh, PA

Brother:  George Vargulich and wife Charmane - Thornton, CO

Father-in-law:  Pete Allison and his wife JoAnn

Sister-in-law:  Patty Tonsetic and Rich

Brother-in-law:  Mick Allison and Lori

Sister-in-law:  Paulette Allison

Many nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her mother-in-law:  Doris Allison

2 brothers-in-law:  Bob and Ray Allison

Friends will be received in The Dearth Funeral Home 35 South Mill Street New Salem, PA on Monday from 2-4 and 6-8PM.  Additional Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 10:00AM until 11:00AM at The First United Methodist Church of Brownsville 215 Church Street Brownsville, PA.  Funeral Service will begin at 11:00AM with her niece, Pastor Dawn Hargraves officiating.

In lieu of flowers, Mary had requested that donations be made to New Hope Assistance Dogs Inc. 3 Scott Run Road Warren, PA 16365 (Phone Number 1-814-726-1620.  This organization provides service dogs to Veterans and Children in Need.
