Michael G. Zentkovich

Michael G. "Yuk" Zentkovich, age 69, of Hibbs, PA, passed away at home on Sunday, May 5, 2019, surrounded by his family.  He was born on November 12, 1949 in Uniontown, PA, son of the late Stephen Zentkovich and Helen Zentkovich Hanzley and his step father Paul Hanzley.

Michael was a retired coal miner and member of United Mine Workers of America.  He was a member of Newboro Indians Club, New Salem, Fairbanks Rod and Gun Club, Footedale Firehall, and The Pals Club Masontown. Yuk enjoyed hunting.

Michael is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Janet (Flora) Zentkovich; children, Shana Nicholson and her husband Bobby of Uniontown, PA, Stephanie Abel and husband Wendell of Stafford, VA; grandchildren, Michael and Daniel Nicholson, Austin, Carrington and Lexi Abel; sisters, Loretta Harold of Canonsburg, PA and Kathy Champinalli, of Pittsburgh, PA; brother, Joseph Zentkovich of North Carolina; also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Friends received at Dearth Funeral Home, 35 S. Mill Street, New Salem on Wednesday, May 8, 2019 from 2-4 and 6-8 pm, where a Blessing Service will be held on Thursday, May 9, 2019 at 11:00 am with the Rev. Fr. Thumma Fathimareddy officiating. Interment will be private.
