Naomi (Connors) Crapp, age 96, lifetime resident of Filbert, PA, was called home by Jesus on May 7, 2019 while in the care of the Monarch Meadow Personal Care Home.
Born on October 22, 1922, she was the daughter of the late Martin and Leora (Murray) Connors.
Naomi was predeceased by her husband John E. Crapp of 56 years; her mother and father; brothers Martin "Junie" Connors, Thomas "Ozzie" Connors, sister Irma Miller, son John Craft, daughter-in-law, Joyce Craft and daughter, Sherry Logan.
Naomi is survived by her daughter Anselma "Angie" Klippi (Dave) of Uniontown; sister Shirley Lazzaro of Pittsburgh; brother Bill (Pearl) Connors of Greenville, NC and son-in-law Ed Logan of Filbert. She is also survived by grandchildren: Alice Davis of New Market, VA; Mandy (Robbie) Dickinson of Stafford, VA; Naomi (Mark) Jenkins of Uniontown; Jerry (Michele) Kensinger of Harrisburg; John (Laura) Kensinger of Dillsburg; and Shanna (Mark Cancilla) Kensinger of Fort Myers, FL. Great-grandchildren John Davis, Tommy Davis, JD Dickinson, Amy Dickinson, Zoey Jenkins, Logan Jenkins, Andrew Kensinger, Jack Kensinger, Sarah Kensinger, and Shelby Kensinger; and great-great grandchildren Aayden, TJ, Sheila and Marley; and many loving nieces and nephews. "GG" cherished her children.
Naomi was a lifetime member of Church of Madonna in Cardale and Holy Rosary Church in Republic until their respective closings. She is a current member of St. Therese Church in Uniontown. Naomi worked her first job, the old company store in Filbert, 17 years with Republic Sportswear in management. She also worked at Uniontown Hospital gift store and called the "Cinnamon Roll Lady," The Cabaret, the grill chef and catering with Josephine Franks. Her last job was her happy days at Holy Rosary School, cooking and baking with her dear friend Josephine Urani.
Naomi loved quilting after 20 years and was devoted to her church and sewing.
The family would like to thank her caregivers Karen Diehl, Babette Medlock, Renne Kremposky, and friends Sharon Rosendale, Cindy Lemon, Jen Brown, Mary Jane Craft and many others. Naomi had so many friends and was loved by all. Also, the family would like to thank Abby Health Care who took great care of her for 20 years and also Amedysis in the final month. Dan and his team at Monarch Meadows could not have been more compassionate in her final days. They were all wonderful.
Friends will be received at the Dearth Funeral Home, 35 South Mill Street, New Salem, PA 15468 on Friday, May 10, 2019 from 2-4 pm and 6-9 pm and on Saturday, May 11, 2019 until the Prayer Service at 9:15 AM, followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:00 AM in St. Therese Church, 61 Mill Street, Uniontown, PA 15401. Interment in LaFayette Memorial Park. A Wake Service will be held on Friday at 3:00 PM as well as a Prayer Service at 7:00 PM.
