Grace M. (LaMonica) Kacmar, age 92, of Newboro, PA passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 25, 2019.
She was born on April 27, 1927 in Newboro, PA
Daughter of the late Joseph and Caroline (Pastorello) LaMonica
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband: Raymond A. Kacmar
Daughter: Kathleen Kacmar
Brothers: Charles and John
Sisters: Rose McGlasson, Constance McKinley, Josephine Wells, Caroline LaMonica, Margaret Rabbitt, Victoria Buchanan, Mary Trimbath, and Florence Hostetler
Left to cherish her memory are her children:
Carol A. Collins and friend Pasquale Ventura - Uniontown, PA
David R. Kacmar - Newboro, PA
Michael G. Kacmar and fiance Brandy Pan - Alexandria, VA
Brother: Gerald LaMonica - Dearborn, MI
Brother-in-law: Andrew Kacmar - Uniontown, PA
Godchildren: William Trimbath, Judith Psenicska, Thomas Zajac, Lenard Hostetler, Betty Intrieri
And her dozens of nieces and nephews from all over the USA
Grace was a member of the former St. Procopius R.C. Church of New Salem, PA where she served on The Altar Society and The Procopians. She was presently a member of St. Francis of Assisi R.C. Church of Footedale, PA.
She was a former member of The Central Christian Church Dart League in Republic, PA and The Sons of Italy Bocci League in Brownsville, PA
Grace graduated from Redstone High School Class of 1945 and was an active member of The Class Reunion Committee. She also served on the Lamonica Family Reunion Committee for many years.
Grace grew up working with her parents and siblings at Lamonica's Greenhouse in Newboro. There she gained her lifelong love for flowers. In the summer, her front porch and yard was a spectrum of color from flowers, many which she nursed from seed to maturity.
Grace's family wishes to thank the staff at Peroni's Personal Care Home for the care and compassion shown for Grace and also Amedisys Hospice for their wonderful care and support.

Friends will be received in The Dearth Funeral Home 35 South Mill Street New Salem, PA on Wednesday from 2-4 and 6-8PM and on Thursday until 9:30AM where a Prayer Service will be held followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:00AM at St. Francis R.C. Church - Footedale, PA with the Rev. Fr. William G. Berkey as celebrant.
Interment will follow in Sylvan Heights Cemetery.
