Holly Renee (Boord) Balash

Holly Renee Boord Balash, age 62, of Phoenix, AZ, formerly of Uniontown, PA, Passed away on Friday, June 7, 2019, at Hospice of the Valley in Phoenix, AZ.  Holly was born on March 17, 1957 in Uniontown, PA, daughter of Raymond Boord Sr. and Dolores (Crutchman) Boord.

Holly attended Purdue University, Penn State University, and Arizona State University. She built a career as an administrative assistant with Arizona State University. She loved travelling, exploring new cities, meeting new people, and music. She passed along her appreciation for music and the arts to her children. Holly was immensely proud of her family, and leaves us with wonderful, loving memories. She will be missed greatly by her family and friends.

Holly is survived by her two children, Justin Balash and Andrea Balash. She is also survived by her mother (Dolores Boord) sister (Beth and Goodluck) and three brothers (John and Nancy) (Ray and Kathy) (Brian and Donna). She is also survived by 6 Nieces (Natasha, Bethany, Rae’chele, Allyson, Rachel, Melinda) and 5 nephews (Darryl, Erik, Corey, Brandon, Bryson). Holly was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Balash, in 2005.

Friends will be received at the Dearth Funeral home, 35 South Mill Street, New Salem, PA on Thursday from 2-4 and 6-8 and on Friday from 9:00AM until 10:00AM where a Funeral Service will be held with Rev. Laura Blank Officiating.  Interment to follow in LaFayette Memorial Park.
