Janice P. (Burke) Stathers

Janice P. (Burke) Stathers, age 74, of New Salem, PA passed away on Tuesday, September 1, 2020 in The Uniontown Hospital.

She was born on July 18, 1946 in Charleroi, PA

Daughter of the late Norman and Gertrude (Rummell) Burke

Janice retired from Fayette County A.R.C. as a Teacher's Aid.

She greatly enjoyed camping and her fur babies.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband:  Raymond C. Stathers

Sister:  Sally Reconnu and an infant sister, Cindy

brother-in-law:  Barry Taylor

sister-in-law:  Connie Burke

her fur babies:  Princess, Mickey, and Sarah

her granddog:  Sam

Janice is survived by her son:  Bruce Stathers and his wife Roseanne - New Salem, PA

Brother:  Barry Burke - Fallowfield Twp., PA

2 Sisters:  Joyce Burke - Connellsville, PA

            Sandra Yuhas - Daisytown, PA

Special cousin:  Claire Torkish - Perryopolis, PA

Also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Friends will be received in The Dearth Funeral Home 35 South Mill Street New Salem, PA on Sunday, September 6th from 4:00PM until 8:00PM and on Monday, September 7th from 10:00AM until 11:00AM where a Funeral Service will be held with Rev. Andy Miles officiating.

Interment will follow in Salem View Cemetery.
