Jean Bohna Obituary

Jean Lee Bohna, aged 62, of East Millsboro, PA, passed away on Sunday, May 19, 2019, surrounded by her loving family following her courageous two year battle with cancer.

She was born June 25, 1956, in Waynesburg, PA, the daughter of the late James K. and Sara Jean Emery of Brownsville, PA.  She was dedicated homemaker and brilliant quilter.

On June 8, 1974, she married Gregory A. Bohna, who survives her.  They would have celebrated 45 years of marriage.  Surviving, in addition to her husband, is her twin sister, Jane D. Croftcheck (Calvin) of Smock, PA, and her brother James D. Emery of Punta Gorda, Florida, two sons, Gregory P. Bohna (Julie) of Connellsville, PA, and Nathaniel A. Bohna and Nicole Hill of Brownsville, PA.  She leaves behind two grandsons, Grayson P. and Griffin G. Bohna, and several nieces and nephews, along with her favorite companions dog Harley and cat Buddy.

Friends will be received in The Dearth Funeral Home 35 South Mill Street New Salem, PA on Tuesday from 2-4 and 6-8PM and on Wednesday from 9:00AM until 10:15 where a Prayer Service will be held followed by a Funeral Mass at 11:00AM at The Historic Church of St. Peter with The Rev. Fr. Thumma Fathimareddy as celebrant.  Interment will follow in Acklin Burial Park.
