Rev. Roland M. O'Brien

Rev. Roland M. O'Brien, age 94, of Uledi, PA passed away on Monday Evening, June 1, 2020.

He was born on April 14, 1926 in Uledi, PA

Son of the late John H. and Nellie (Whalen) O'Brien

Roland was a well known Minister serving for over 65 Years as Pastor of Tower Hill Christian Church, Denbeau Heights Christian Church, and Keisterville Union Church.

He was a Veteran of WWII serving with The United States Navy.

Roland was employed for over 30 years at LaFayette Memorial Park until his retirement.

Roland was preceded in death by his first wife:  Reta A. (Opel) O'Brien

2 Brothers:  Donald O'Brien and John H. O'Brien, Jr.

1 sister:  Eileen

He is survived by his beloved wife of 54 years:  Betty E. (Gower) O'Brien

2 sons:  Roland J. O'Brien and wife Leonette - Hatboro, PA

               Danny L. O'Brien and wife Laurie - Tampa, FL

1 granddaughter:  Elizabeth O'Brien Council and husband Zachariah - New York City

Sister:  Shirley Firestone - North Ridgeville, OH

2 Brothers:  Wayne O'Brien - Uniontown, PA

                      Charles O'Brien - Uniontown, PA

Also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received in The Dearth Funeral Home 35 South Mill Street New Salem, PA on Friday, June 5th from 4:00PM until 8:00PM.  Additional visitation will be held on Saturday, June 6th at Grace Chapel Presbyterian Church 1214 Walnut Hill Road Smithfield, PA 15478 from 10:00AM until 11:00AM.  Funeral Services will begin at 11:00AM with Rev. Lee McDermott officiating.  Interment will follow in Jacobs-Lutheran Cemetery.
